Gain a Diploma and 9 exemptions from the 13 ACCA papers. This qualification is currently the only one of its kind in the world and exclusively available in Greece by Altium Training. The Diploma examinations are developed and internally marked by Altium Training. The Diploma in Accounting and Finance is recognized by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) in England and Wales and accredited by the ACCA for 9 exemptions. Also, students are awarded exemptions from the Diploma courses. Students are awarded for the Diploma the exemptions they would secure from the ACCA plus all the ACCA papers they have already passed. This means that in addition to the Diploma, you would be on your way to becoming a qualified ACCA professional accountant and able to progress onto our ACCA Professional Level Papers.

The Diploma in Accounting and Finance is designed for learners who wish to enter the accounting and finance sector and fast track the attainment of the ACCA qualification. The Diploma will help you develop your analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills and judgment in the field of accounting and finance. You will also be able to practice the application of such tools.

Entry requirement

Knowledge of English language, plus one of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification or equivalent from a recognised institution, or
  • Minimum of two years’ work experience.


Examination Scheme:

Students must achieve 120 credits from the following 9 mandatory subjects (a student can choose to attend the Regional Law and Tax or the English Law and UK Tax). Related degrees might be eligible for exemptions for the Diploma.

Notes

  • Regional Law and Taxation: For the Greek variant of law and taxation, students who want to become members of SOEL, will have to pass the SOEL exams. In addition to the Greek variant of law and tax, Altium Training has accredited the Diploma for the English variants (F4-English and F6-UK). Therefore, a student can also become an ACCA by attending F4-English and F6-UK.
  • Students with exemptions in F2 and F3 can, at their choice, attend the courses at a special fee in order to refresh their knowledge.
  • Diploma students will attend the ACCA courses of Altium Training, the revisions of the ACCA courses and additional revisions for the Diploma exams.


Assessment

  • This qualification is assessed through final examinations, which are developed and internally marked by Altium Training. The final examinations are paper-based exams containing a mix of objective (multiple choice) and longer type questions. In some subjects, the final examinations are only objective (multiple choice) questions. The duration of the final exams varies from 11/2 hours to 3 hours.
  • Grading: Final mark will be either Pass or Fail


Duration

The program can be completed in 12 months or at any time a student chooses. Students with related degrees may be eligible for exemptions from both the Diploma course and the ACCA, which could allow them to complete the Diploma in less time. As a general rule, students are awarded for the Diploma the exemptions they would secure from the ACCA plus all the ACCA papers they have already passed.


Online and blended options

In addition to the classroom option at Altium Training in Athens, a student can attend the Diploma live online or blended. The ACCA courses can be attended online throughout the semester. As additional revisions will be scheduled specifically for the Diploma classes just before exams, students outside Athens participating in Diploma exams (held at Altium Training premises) will have the opportunity to attend Diploma revisions in class.
